Hélène Marquis

Residential Real Estate Broker

Originally from Montmagny, after a few years in the old capital, I let myself be seduced by this city, its districts, its diversity, its activity and its people from here and elsewhere.

Having spent more than half my life in Montreal, I now call myself a Montrealer.

I have had more than 30 years of experience in the restaurant business, first as a manager and then as an owner. In 2007, I founded “La Boîte Gourmande”, my second restaurant, located on Laurier East. A friendly neighbourhood cafeteria, involved in the community, committed to offering colourful and tasty healthy menus at affordable prices. In 2014, I decided to sell my restaurant. I needed new challenges. Real estate brokerage naturally became the obvious choice. As a triplex owner myself, I am familiar with management, planning, renovations and customer service. For me, a good broker must be attentive, available, organized and able to adapt to all situations. Indeed, he or she must target and understand the needs of his or her clients while mastering the tools.

In my spare time, I like to discover new horizons, whether in Montreal neighbourhoods, nearby cities or new parts of the country. In early spring, the garden becomes my haven for relaxation, where I sow, water, weed, contemplate, pick and taste.

For me, Montreal is not only the city of a thousand church steeples, it is also the city of a thousand faces. What I like most of all about Montreal is its cultural and ethnic diversity and its friendliness. I like the very urban aspect of Ville-Marie; the historical and tourist aspect of Old Montreal; access to nature everywhere on the island; the unavoidable Plateau Mont-Royal; the beautiful properties of Westmount, Notre-Dame-de-Grâce or Outremont; the small village aspect of the main street in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines ; walks in the park of the eastern part of the island where it is possible to encounter deer in liberty; Little Italy and its Jean-Talon market; the Botanical Garden and its wild fox, the Biodome and the Olympic stadium; Mount Royal with its chalet, lake and cemeteries, and many more. Living in Montreal means having access to all this.

Real estate brokerage allows me to share my love for Montreal.
